Our story began writing with the creation of Trezor - the first hardware wallet for keeping your cryptocurrencies in the world.
Trezor has quickly become a legend in the crypto community and started off the development of the hardware wallet industry.
We believe the future is in need of a free currency such as Bitcoin in order to strengthen people’s decentralization and independence.
In SatoshiLabs, there are two things that drive our inner motivation. Firstly, our love for Trezor – we are certain it is a great product with nearly infinite potential. Secondly, it is the attempt to change the current social conditions and make the power distribution more balanced. That’s why we build infrastructure around Bitcoin so that it is easy to use for everyone.

You must feel like learning a lot, improving and be able to adapt. You should be naturally curious and a little adventurous. Our company is not for people who don’t want to take risks in doing something innovative.
Enthusiasts! For the work we hire them for. It’s really important that their inner motivation is their primary motivation.
I see myself as a person who can pull my weight. I don’t need to change the world but I like the fact our team is doing exactly that.
I was really surprised that everyone I talked to is really keen on their job and could talk about it for hours. So many people loving what they do in one place, I had never seen that before.
We need people who can actively find the information they need. I see that as a certain quality in people I want. We have a manager who got in touch with me in the first week, wanting to meet and see how I feel about things.
They don’t have to be crypto fans, however they need to have the drive to understand it. I didn’t know much and in six months I was in love.
We have a global impact and local activity. We serve the whole world in only a few people. To be able to do that, we all need to be versatile. Very specific positions have no place here. Things change often, there’s always a continuation. And you need to understand that.
We are looking for people who, just like us, believe that crypto technologies can positively influence our future.
Your zeal for what you do, technologies and learning is important to us. We will gladly explain the nuances of crypto to you. The crypto community of our customers is very specific. It’s easy to understand it but what works for other customers of mainstream companies doesn’t work for them. In our company, it’s not enough to look at numbers, measure, assess and decide from our tables based on Excel data. We have to go a step further.
Thanks to online economy, social networks and crypto community, we are much closer to our customers, and our development is thus much more effective.
What you need for that is a sense of community communication, faithfulness to your vision in the face of short-term profit or the ability to stand up for your decisions face to face with customers and colleagues.
The dynamics of our job are defined by what is going on in the crypto market, and people’s volatility to purchase. The situation changes often, month to month, it’s important to react quickly. The higher the distribution, the larger are the demands for support, expedition and other departments which suddenly have to attend to many more requirements than usual. It’s hard for us to plan, and it’s nearly impossible to function based on the principle of business plans or strategies.
We need to be able to read the market and decide fast.
We build everything so we can adjust it quickly. What helps us in that is the fact that individual company parts cooperate, and we must understand how the product works in its complexity in order to judge better the impact changes have on the whole.
We know how to look for risks and decide analytically, based on data.
We are very analytical and loo for the things that are not working. Not to criticize and dissect who made a mistake and where we do it so we can fix a mistake quickly and move the product a bit further. We enjoy looking for problems and their solutions because we learn a lot through that and the result of our work gets better and better.
That is also why we appreciate mutual honesty, an environment where you don’t try to hide your mistakes but talk about them openly with everyone in the company. We want to move further quickly enough and making mistakes is actually beneficial for us and we value that in people. We believe one can truly learn from their mistakes. And even more if one takes the responsibility for the overall result.
An easy-going and relaxed atmosphere is characteristic of our team, we all have the freedom and trust to do things our own way. We care more about the final result, a thing that requires self-discipline from all of us, rather than the pressure to perform.
We believe everyone at SatoshiLabs works to their fullest and does things as best as they can.
Our work connects us and we like to meet around it. We like to discuss current issues and projects at work. We brainstorm together and come up with innovative ideas, and it’s amazing. We spend a lot of time together out of work as well. When we couldn’t go to our offices during the pandemic, we communicated intensively through Slack and Google Meet. We are always looking forward to meeting online to work together or, even better, face to face.
SatoshiLabs as an environment is suitable for people who are keen on learning. The zest for improvement is key for us, more important than years of practice in a different industry. In the beginning, there’s a need to understand the crypto world and the way Bitcoin works. Other issues are so specific that you will learn the most by working on real tasks together with more experienced colleagues. For us, it’s very natural to ask when we don’t understand something. If you ask a lot, you learn a lot. There’s always someone to give advice here.
There are extraverts, introverts, analysts, marketers and developers in our team, however, in essence, we are connected not so much by our work but through our worldview.
We are a team of strong individuals who value personal freedom, decentralization, openness in interpersonal relationships, open-source principles, and we have our own worldview.
If you ask us what we like the most about the company, most of us would place this on the first place: “Unique people who are experts in their fields, and oftentimes pioneers in ground-breaking trends.”
We’re not focused on gloss, we are very utilitarian. We don’t need fancy offices in the city center. It’s more than enough to be in Libeň in a nice and calm environment where we feel good. The offices are ours and we can adjust them how we need and redo again anytime. We like our humor and that’s why we didn’t name our conference rooms after cryptocurrencies but after Czech things – Knedlo, Vepřo, Halušky, etc. We have lunch together in the kitchen and we go clear our heads to the gym in the basement.
